raerahrah: #I LOVE THIS SCENE MORE THAN ANYTHING because it gives us this insight into what Harry actually DOES all year - the joking around and the classes and the friends that the movies have to skip over to focus on the main plot. like, harry spends so much of his time feeling isolated and alone and hounded and we just don’t get to see him having FUN - making stupid faces with his friends or bludging around the common room or begging hermione to help with his astronomy homework and these are the things that he looks forward to - the times when he’s just like everyone else and can sit around with ron and just BE, and that’s the reason hogwarts is his home, and that’s what makes him feel like he belongs.
